1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the IDSnap mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.

2. Grant of License

IDSnap grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App strictly for your personal, educational, or commercial document management needs on mobile devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store Terms and Google Play Terms of Service.

3. 100% User Ownership of Documents & Data

You retain full, exclusive, and unencumbered ownership of all documents, images, signatures, 2FA keys, and files processed or stored using IDSnap.

We claim zero intellectual property rights over any file or scan you create. Because IDSnap operates 100% offline, our servers never touch, view, or retain your files.

4. Important Disclaimer Regarding Official Documents & Scans

Digital Scans are Digital Representations: Scans, cropped photos, and PDF conversions produced by IDSnap are digitized representations of physical documents. IDSnap does not certify, notarize, authenticate, or guarantee that any scan will be legally accepted as an official original by government bodies, passport authorities, visa centers, courts, or academic institutions.

Passport & Visa Photo Presets: While IDSnap provides crop aspect ratios matching international standards (such as US 2×2 inch or Schengen 35×45 mm), you remain solely responsible for ensuring your physical appearance, lighting, background, head size, and framing satisfy the specific, evolving regulations of the official issuing agency.

5. 2FA Authenticator Disclaimer & Backup Responsibility

The built-in 2FA Authenticator generates standard RFC 6238 Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) strictly on your local device. You are solely responsible for securely storing your service backup recovery codes. Since IDSnap does not sync to the cloud, if you lose your phone, break your device, or clear your app data without external backups, we cannot recover your 2FA keys.

6. Permitted and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use IDSnap to:

• Forge, falsify, or tamper with government-issued identification cards, passports, academic transcripts, or legal contracts for fraudulent purposes.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from proprietary binary modules, except where permitted by open-source licenses.
• Transmit malicious payloads by embedding harmful scripts into converted document formats.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

IDSnap is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that operation will be error-free or uninterrupted.
